Automatically identify standing heats and non-cyclers, and make mating easier with Saber Heat.
Saber Heat uses a camera to automatically identify standing heats by reading Saber Heat patches. Cows with activated or missing Saber Heat patches are automatically drafted for further inspection and artificial insemination (AI).
How Saber™ Heat benefits your farm
Saber Heat integrates with Saber ID and Saber Draft, and is accessible via your smart device (phone or tablet)*. You can:
- Automatically identify standing heats, taking pressure off you and your staff by removing the need to view cows every day
- Automatically draft cows with an activated or missing heat patch so animals are ready for AI at the end of milking, freeing staff to focus on the business of milking
- Automatically capture pre-mating heats allowing easy identification of non-cyclers so action can be taken to improve their chances of cycling activity and their opportunity for AB mating
- Access a simple suite of reports with previous heat information to aid mating decisions
- Extend AB (due to mating being easier) so you can eliminate the use of bulls and consider using Short Gestation Length (SGL) semen to tighten your calving spread
- Monitor only the animals in your mating group – meaning no time and effort is lost on cows you don’t wish to mate
